BONDED WAREHOUSE
STOURBRIDGE SEE MAP
Friendly Neighbourhood Cinema first arrived at The Bonded Warehouse in October 2019 with a sold out screening of The Exorcsist, as part of our Into The Darkness Festival. We were blessed a dark and stormy night, with the 18th century structure serving as the perfect host for dread and unease. Atop the creaky staircase awaited our screening room sitting at the very peak of the tower… submerged in scarlet light and a haunting Tubular Bells inspired soundscape from Adam Lamb of Domesday Outfit.
The Stourbridge Town Arm canal spurs from Wordsley Junction off the Stourbridge Canal link to the Staffs & Worcs canal route. It terminates almost in the centre of Stourbridge at a wharf upon which the Bonded Warehouse was built in 1779. (100% legit haunted too...)

“A sound design piece I made for the Friendly Neighbourhood Cinema for their screening of The Exorcist. The canal side building where the screening took place was established in 1799. I tried to combine the themes of the history of the Bonded Warehouse, the movie itself and an unholy presence in the building.” – Adam Lamb
